Where The Sky Meets The Sand Chapter 1.1

Fan made MV

Part 1

It was an old but grand Catholic Church. It stood in the midst of the night. To the population of the small town of Abbeville in North of France. This Church in a well-known one.

A black car came into view, it was an antique model. It directed to the parking area in front of the church door, the headlights shining a bright beam.

Inside the church, the Mother Superior was standing in a prayer at the altar.

There was a loud knocking sound before the door had finally opened. And then it closed. Followed by the sound of footsteps of two people walking through the corridor.

Not long later, they joined the Mother Superior while she read a letter in the office. The guest that visited tonight were staff of the orphanage. The nuns stood around calmly.

A baby was lying on the table on a cushion. Mother Superior calculated that its age couldn't be more than 6 months, it had a cute smile and sparkling eyes.

Over time the 6 months old child in the Mother Superior’s office grew up to be a two year old girl. She was sitting unassumingly with her leg on the chair. Her cute eyes glistening.

Bright light streaming through the stained glass illuminated the entire room

Mother Superior standing in front of a statue of Jesus with a calm face closed her eyes for a moment, then turned back. Smiling, the girl looked at the Mother Superior.

6 years later and 6 years of age, Michelle sits and pray in front of the altar in the church. Viewed from the side, there was a calm and fascinating aura coming from this girl named Michelle.

More time passed, Michelle grew into a teen. Sitting around with other girls from the same school. Wearing a convent girl’s uniform she had a modest face and exquisite tenderness.

Michelle saluted then got up, and turned around.

Kashfiya or "Kashfi" a Middle Eastern billionaire’s daughter from the city of Zahleh. She was here to study and was the closest friend of Michelle, approached.

"Michelle, let’s practice basketball then go out."

At the same time, the social worker who talked to the Mother Superior about the origins of Michelle rang.
"The parents of the girl’s dead father are French since her mother comes from the Far East, they do not want to accept foreigners. The father took his family to Africa, but the plane crashed before they arrived. And only one child survived. "

Mother Superior asked "Why not take the child to her grandparents."

The officials said "We traced them through the father’s last name, but they denied to receive the child. We think that this place is not fit for children. "

"What's the surname" The Mother Superior asked.

The official answered "De La Roni, so her full name is Michelle de la Roni".

Then a car drove down the length of the Holy Apostles. Drove into the church parking lot. The driver ran down to open the door with an attitude of humility. AndMadame de la Ville de Nice stepped out with the most elegant manner.

One of the nuns came out to greet her.

"I came to give a great amount of donation to the Mother Superior.”

Soon the nuns took Madame de La Roni to the Mother Superior’s office. And then Madame de la Ville de Nice handed an envelope to the Mother Superior.

"Thank you, Madame de la Ville de Nice" Mother Superior said.

"As always, no thank you notes needed. Because we do wish to remain anonymous. "

"Madame, Michelle is a descendant of the De la Roni. Madame, your mother in law does not wish to see her grandchild?" the Mother Superior asked.

In the court was Kashfiya with another 5 or 6 convent students. 4 of them were French and had blonde hair, an Indian girl, and the other was Italian. They were playing basketball in the gym next to the church. Sounds of shrieks and thrills can be heard from a distant.

The basket ball rolled over to the vacant bench where Michelle was sitting. Her clothes neat and tidy, as well as her shoes and socks. Now the basket ball rolled to her feet.

"Michelle ... Michelle" Kashfiya called.

"Michelle.. Mademoiselle Michelle De La Rosa's" The Call of Sister Ann on the other side of the field. Then all her friends said in chorus, "Michelle, Michelle."

Michelle turned to her friends, they were indicating for her to pass the basketball to them. Michelle bent down to take the ball in her hand.

Sister Ann approached her.

"Michelle de la Roni there is a relative of yours that came to see the Mother Superior."

Michelle turned sharply, her eyes gleamed with delight.

“Madame de la Ville de Nice is with her right now.” Sister Ann said

Michelle ran out instantly, while her friends shouted for the ball.

Michelle threw the ball to them with full force, then quickly turned to run.

Some of her friends ran together with her upon hearing the news. Exited by the surprise.
“Michelle’s mother? Wait!” said Kashfiya doubtfully.

Madame de la Ville de Nice was sitting in front of the Mother Superior. Her facial expression was brooding.

“Your niece is a lovely child, she conducts herself properly, and she looks fine.”

There was a knock at the door.
